The “Angolan Minerals, Oil and Gas Journal” (AMOGJ) is committed to constituting a central and driving force of Angolan and international scientific and cultural life. It is inspired by the principles and values recognized by international acts and conventions on human rights, with particular reference to those that find expression in the norms aimed at protecting knowledge and of its development, research, training and culture.
The "AMOGJ" journal has as its fundamental objective to contribute to the increase of knowledge, culture and progress with ethic and deontological rules and principles constitutes a guarantee of the quality of the research itself and promotes the greatest possible dissemination of its results. AMOGJ therefore undertakes to achieve integrity of the research based on respect and full implementation of the set of ethical and deontological principles and values and professional standards on which the responsible and diligent conduct of those who design, carry out and evaluate the scientific research, as well as the institutions that promote and implement it.
All the members of the journal cooperate in keeping its good name and prestige high. They are required to respect the rights of others in acts and expressions, to carry out the tasks inherent in their role with rigor, dignity and decorum and to scrupulously observe all the rules governing publishing activity.
All forms of favoritism, nepotism or any other abuse, deriving from the position of hierarchical superiority or from the authority of the role covered, constitute serious violations of ethical duties. In particular, any institutional behavior aimed at granting or promising, directly or through the intervention of third parties, benefits of any kind, lawful or unlawful, in exchange for favors of any kind is condemned.
Any member or collaborator of the journal who finds himself in a situation of incompatibility or conflict of interest of any kind, even if potential or referable to third natural or legal persons, with whom he is in connection, has the obligation to refrain from any activity or from taking or participating in the adoption of any decision as well as promptly informing the Editor-in-Chief of the situation he is in, with transparency and completeness, and abiding by the consequent decisions.
In the use of the means of communication, including social media, the Editorial Board undertakes not to damage the prestige and image of the journal and to respect the privacy of individuals, without prejudice to the legitimate exercise of the free expression of thought and freedom of criticism.
